For a game where the majority of enthusiasts occasionally consider luck, there are tons of superstitions in poker. When you say that someone was fortunate in that poker tournament they captured, be mindful of how you mention it. For example, if you say that you were unfortunate, your luck may never change.
Ok, that may sound a bit ubsurd, but poker is a game armed with superstitions. Did you know that if you’re playing a game with 2 different decks and you’re asked to choose the deck, you should always choose the deck of cards that is furthest from you? Or, how about If you get a run of terrible cards, you need to hang out on a hankerchief to destroy your bad luck? It’s certainly thought of as good fortune to blow through a deck of cards when they’re being mixed up.
A few other fascinating poker folklores are:
- You can change the run of cards by passing around your chair 3 times.
- The most beneficial chair at the poker table faces the door.
- The unluckiest seat has its back to a fireplace.
- When altering seats, you need to constantly do so following the clock.
- The most detrimental poker card is the four of clubs.
- It is most unfortunate to cross your legs when sitting at the poker table.
- Fri is a bad day for wagering on cards.
- The thirteenth is also a horrible day, despite when it falls.
