Literally countless of individuals are trying to be the next "big-time thing" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more noteworthy "charming pros" of poker. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are at a poker table it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his tourney winnings amounted to more than four and a half million dollars and he attained two highly admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In Feb Two Thousand and Six he was chosen Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel still has the humility to talk with his fans about how they will be able to improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His accomplishments have allowed him to make an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and between Two Thousand and Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in excess of 100 events. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad beat. As of 2006, his career winnings are almost 6 million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured five World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his wins coming in 2003. Chris has the alias "Jesus" due to his characteristic long hair and beard, that, and along with his ability to throw cards fast enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total live poker tournament winnings exceeded five million dollars.
