Phil Ivey has been referred to as the number one poker player on the globe by many of the top professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before reaching turning 1. His papa taught Phil penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was addicted to poker and wished to discover whatever he possibly could about poker. He routinely would tell his parents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He didn’t permit the negative comments from others destroy his goal of being one of the strongest poker players on the planet.
Phil began competing intently after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He honed his techniques at the poker rooms of Atlantic City. The beginning few years for Phil were a learning opportunity and winning wasn’t a regular thing at the time. He became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved 2 final tables and won his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the closing table he destroyed quite a few of the better known professionals which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
He made a decision to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Sin City. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Ivey credits his achievements to hard work and an immeasurable love for poker. Phil says that he’s picking up skills every day and is incredibly abashed about his accomplishments. Phil knows he makes blunders in each game of poker and always strives to get better.
Even though Ivey has won some big tournaments, he likes winning money games on a normal basis.
