Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the western in a fantastic game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the house, not like most other poker games that gamblers bet with other players. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable players winning their mulla.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make frenzied selections.
It is also easier to play for a very long time with basically a tiny bit of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the dealer receives seven cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the dealer’s.
