Texas Hold’em is simply about individuals and position. All rounded Hold’em players agree that seating in no restriction Hold’em is fundamentally important. Showing your hole cards in last spot could be much more profitable than in early poker spot. This is because much more info is gathered right before acting.
e.g., I was playing a $1-$2 no limit cash match at a local spot. I limped in holding 2, 9 unsuited on the dealer marker, so I could see some action. Flop arrived A-A-4. A gambler in early spot laid a fifteen dollar bet. 2 entrants drop out and it was now my turn to act. I really should have dropped out, but his action appear to be a bit odd. I labeled this guy as a weak-tight individual, and normally if he held the biggest hand he would simply check, so I called.
The turn came down with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My challenger laid another wager of $20. I debated for a while, but decided to re-raise another $30thirty dollars on top of his twenty dollars. He folds and I won the cash.
Betting at last spot gives you an idea where you stand by observing how players behave and bet. On the flip side, gamblers at early spot could use their poker spot to check-raise the last seated aggressors and trap them afterwords at the end. In Hold’em, each ends, late and early must be bet carefully.
