Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the final game in three of the events. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. Gus secured a big pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Gus has made many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest gamblers in the world. While wagering on online poker, a different side of Hansen has been seen. He frequently plays in the 200/400 NL max buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen more often than not buys-in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all-in. I know Hansen is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has absolutely no reason to play at the game with the min buy in.
Playing for the minimum takes most of the expertise out of big stack poker. Gus is presumed to be 1 of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The greatest players in the world could be guys you have will not have heard of. Gus can be found betting on web poker on Full Tilt. He commonly plays in big stakes omaha high and hold’em. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a competition player. Can he use his talents in cash games?
