Pai gow Poker is an American card-playing derivative of the centuries-old casino game of Chinese Dominoes. In the early nineteenth century, Chinese laborers introduced the game while working in California.

The game’s popularity with Chinese gamblers ultimately drew the attention of entrepreneurial gamers who substituted the traditional tiles with cards and shaped the game into a new type of poker. Introduced into the poker suites of California in 1986, the game’s quick acclaim and popularity with Asian poker players drew the awareness of Nevada’s gambling establishment owners who quickly assimilated the casino game into their own poker suites. The popularity of the game has continued into the twenty-first century.

Double-hand tables support up to 6 gamblers plus a croupier. Distinguishing from common poker, all players bet on against the croupier and not against each other.

In an anti-clockwise rotation, every single player is dealt seven face down cards by the croupier. Forty-nine cards are given, including the croupier’s 7 cards.

Each player and the croupier must form 2 poker hands: a high hand of 5 cards plus a low palm of 2 cards. The hands are based on standard poker rankings and as such, a two card hand of 2 aces would be the greatest possible hand of 2 cards. A 5 aces hand will be the greatest 5 card hand. How do you acquire five aces in a standard 52 card deck? You’re truly betting with a 53 card deck since one joker is permitted into the game. The joker is considered a wild card and can be used as one more ace or to complete a straight or flush.

The highest two hands win each game and only a single player having the 2 highest hands simultaneously can win.

A dice toss from a cup containing 3 dice decides who will be dealt the very first hands. After the hands are dealt, players must form the two poker hands, maintaining in mind that the 5-card palm must often rank higher than the two-card hands.

When all players have set their hands, the dealer will make comparisons with his or her hands rank for pay-outs. If a gambler has one hands higher in rank than the croupier’s except a lower second palm, this is regarded a tie.

If the croupier beats each hands, the player loses. In the situation of both gambler’s hands and each dealer’s hands being the same, the dealer is victorious. In betting house wager on, ofttimes considerations are made for a gambler to become the dealer. In this situation, the player must have the funds for any payouts due winning players. Of course, the player acting as croupier can corner several large pots if he can beat most of the gamblers.

A few betting houses rule that gamblers can’t deal or bank two back to back hands, and a number of poker suites will provide to co-bank fifty/fifty with any player that elects to take the bank. In all instances, the dealer will ask gamblers in turn if they want to be the banker.

In Pai-gow Poker, you might be given "static" cards which means you have no chance to change cards to maybe enhance your hands. Nevertheless, as in conventional 5-card draw, you’ll find strategies to make the very best of what you’ve been given. An example is keeping the flushes or straights in the five-card palm and the 2 cards remaining as the second great palm.

If you’re lucky sufficient to draw 4 aces and a joker, you can maintain three aces in the 5-card hands and strengthen your two-card hand with the other ace and joker. 2 pair? Retain the larger pair in the five-card hand and the other two matching cards will generate up the second palm.
