Internet poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players are given 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes directly to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an amount equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The bank pays chips equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
